Build 02:53
Build. Build it bigger than before. Build all that you deplore. You don't expect to lose, still you disapprove so blindly. It's all just discontent. Have you ever thought of anything but the pursuit of more than plenty? Does it ever seem like enough? Do you feel just like you've been caught in a bluff? Because you bought right in like everyone does; so sure you'd win just like everybody else was. Don't you know you can't all win at the same game? Probably wouldn't even know it if thou kingdom came, would you?
2.
Listen here, I said, as long as the world keeps spinning, I'm willing to believe and bet on better, better times. Fair enough, you replied, and I'm open to compromise, but if said days exist then why can't I find mine? How am I to answer that? What do you expect me to say? That it's okay? Well... Damaged goods, I see the victim's card, and disregard for consequences, and subtle glances. Bury me, suggests the tone of voice, trembles, murmurs. Lost touch with how it feels to feel, to feel anything. And how am I to answer that? What do you expect me to say? That it's okay? Well... Everything is fine, more or less. Now isn't the time to get all caught up in semantics, or buy into romantic notions. But we'll keep running on empty, face the facts. Battles fought and the body will react. Feel free to disagree if you want, but I think it's worth it.
3.
Foundations crumble to sand and smaller pieces, to join the greater plane, and the source for more creation. And it's everything I see. And it's everything we know. And it's all the same to me. Gotta let it go, go. Borrowed time, but all of time is just a construct to pacify or energize, or nullify, or organize all we do. Why try to complicate it? Why try to do anything at all? Don't act so elevated, climbing just to have further to fall. Bargain bin sorrows for low expectations. Bought and sold so cheap, kindling for so many inhibitions. But don't worry now, and don't make a sound. Just tow that line along. Tow it down, down, down. Why try to complicate it? Why try to do anything at all? Don't act to elevated, climbing just to have further to fall. Learn to crawl, no no no...
